Arcadia University Stundents on Scott’s Head Beach

I am sad this was necessary and happy to see visitors contribute to the environment.

“… the chemists ingenuity in devising insecticides has long ago outrun biological knowledge of the way these poisons affect the living organism.” ~ Silent Spring by Rachel Carson; 1962

Some had thought 200 starlings found dead in Yankton’s Riverside park had frozen to death. But they were actually poisoned on purpose, by the US Department of Agriculture.

In all officials feel 2000 birds ate the poison.

“Future historians may well be amazed by our distorted sense of proportion. How could intelligent beings seek to control a few unwanted species by a method that contaminated the entire environment and brought the threat of disease and death even to their own kind?” ~ Silent Spring; Carson; 1962

New York bedbugs have acquired mutations in their nerve cells, which blunt the neurotoxic effect of the pyrethroid toxins used against them, according to Clark and his colleagues at Korea’s Seoul National University.

Many other insects are breeding resistance to insecticides used against them; we have to find another way.

Plants are breeding resistence to herbicides and bacteria are mutating to not be as effected by antibiotics.

FDA and CDC have recently detected an increase in the number of reports to VAERS of febrile seizures following vaccination with Fluzone (trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine or TIV, manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur, Inc.). Fluzone is the only influenza vaccine recommended for use for the 2010-2011 flu season in infants and children 6-23 months of age. These reported febrile seizures have primarily been seen in children younger than 2 years of age.”
